Dothan’s Most Traveled Intersection Gets a Digital Upgrade

After over 10 years of FAMOUS Making, Durden Outdoor Displays, Inc. recently upgraded one of its first Digital Displays located at the highest traffic intersection in Dothan, AL. The former double-sided Digital Billboard originally resided at Krispy Kreme facing the Ross Clark Circle and Westgate Parkway, catching east and westbound traffic. We decided that it was finally time to retire this beauty, relocate across the street and increase its size.

As you drive along West Main Street passing Friend Bank, you will now see a large, NEW 10′ x 36′ double-sided Digital Billboard. This Display still targets east and westbound traffic but offers a clearer visibility as well as a longer read for traffic. The weekly traffic count through this highly popular intersection has a total of 379,470+ cars. We are extremely grateful for our customers who have also been just as excited about this upgrade as we are.

Earl Durden Inducted into Dothan Business Hall of Fame

Out-of-Home Most Effective Driving Online Activity

According to a recent OAAA article, Neilsen just released data that examined Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and search activation. The verdict? Out-of-Home was decidedly the best media channel for driving online activity per ad dollar spent. There were several components that Neilsen reviewed when collecting the data. They first reviewed the amount of consumer online activity each media channel generated. In the past six months, 46% of search was activated by outdoor advertising. Behind search, Facebook came in at 38%, 25% in Instagram and 23% in Twitter. The amount of ad spend share for each media channel verses the amount of online activation proved that Out-Of-Home returns four times the expected rate given its relative ad spend.

‘Tis the Season for Giving

TEAM Durden has a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. We are extremely blessed with great customers and wonderful co-workers that we all consider family. This year, we chose the Wiregrass Area United Way Food Bank’s “Stuff the Semi” food drive as a public service project. They will be collecting non-perishable food items, frozen turkeys, and monetary donations today at Southside Wal-Mart until 6:00 PM to feed families this holiday season. Whether it be a food drive, paying someone’s utility bill, or simply a kind gesture of “how can I help?” This Thanksgiving, we encourage you to give back to your community and bless someone who may be going through a tough time. “In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Stuff the Semi

SAMC COHDurden Outdoor Displays, Inc. is excited to partner with Southeast Alabama Medical Center Foundation again this year for the annual Sandi McCool Champions of Hope event. Several Digital Billboards were placed strategically around the entire Wiregrass area to promote this wonderful cause. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 17th at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine – Dothan Campus. Champions of Hope honors all breast cancer survivors and pre-vivors. Each year sponsors, runners, walkers, survivors and their families and friends gather to raise money and awareness about the importance of early detection and intervention.
